Michael R Gutschenritter

While working as a raft guide for three years on the Chattooga River in South Carolina, I earned multiple certifications and advancements in the business. I also guided groups of University students for weeks at a time on canoe trips and backpacking trips as a part of their college orientation. The trips were led safely and with great success. After earning a degree, I assisted in the complete remodeling of a ranch house in Wisconsin. Then, to fulfill a life-long goal, I completed a five month thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. I have also dedicated myself to the art of writing and have been published multiple times. Through these experiences, I’ve tuned my social skills and extended my comfort zone to the point of being able to converse with anyone and to easily recognize danger.

Louis R Gutschenritter

Louis Gutschenritter is a 25-year-old adventure enthusiast currently living, working, and playing in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Born in Wisconsin and raised in the metro Atlanta area, Louis has always enjoyed being outside and the spirit of adventure. At the University of Georgia, Louis enjoyed competing on the school's ultimate frisbee team during the school year and working as a whitewater rafting guide during the summers. As a result of his participation in the Foreign Language department, Louis was afforded the opportunity to travel to France to live in both Paris and Montpellier. After college, Louis elected to travel while working, finding a job as a deckhand aboard several privately owned luxury yachts and travel the eastern and western coasts of the United States. After hanging up his epaulettes, Louis and two friends embarked on a 1000 mile bike ride from Athens, GA, to Key West, FL. Louis will be living working and playing in Steamboat until the group pushes off the shores of the Mississippi.
